What is Permaculture?

Permaculture stands for Permanent Agriculture, a set of concepts that contrast with conventional agricultural practices. One of the key concepts of Permaculture is working with Nature, harvesting natural energies to create longer-lasting soil fertility and increase yield over time.

Whereas conventional agriculture requires increasing amounts of fertilisers and pesticides over the years, permaculture practices and design elements help retain moisture, nutrients and energy. Pests and other wild energies such as water, wind or sun are handled holistically using live elements such as living walls, weed-based biopesticides and others.
